Pick-Up Sticks on a Rigid Heddle Loom
Description: If you want to move beyond the Plain Weave on the rigid heddle loom, this is the natural next step! Use a single pick-up stick to create a pattern using both warp and weft floats!!

Fee: $45
Prerequisites: Must have taken Beginning Rigid Heddle Weaving class and know how to warp and do plain weave.
Materials:
1. Warped Schacht or Ashford rigid heddle loom, 7.5 or 8 reed, and all necessary weaving tools
2. 100g each of worsted weight yarn in 2 contrasting colors
3. 2 pick up sticks at least as wide as your loom
4. 4" wide piece of white cardboard the width of your loom
5. tapestry needle and scissors
6. An empty cardboard paper towel roll
Please warp loom with on 7.5 or 8dpi reed - 68 warp strings (34 slots, 34 holes) before class.
