Resident Evil Hat (Stranded Colorwork)
Fans of the horror classic video game Resident Evil may spot a stranded colorwork toque hat in
the 2026 film adaptation that is totally knittable!
Join Lindsay in making your own Resident Evil black sheep hat using stranded colorwork and
ladderback jacquard. This project modifies the colorwork chart in the Baa-ble Hat pattern to
include 3-color stranded colorwork for some rounds.
This is a relatively small project, but we will be splitting portions up to make sure we elevate the
knitting to the best of our ability.

Skill level: Intermediate knitting. This is not a class to learn how to knit for the first time. The ability to knit with both hands is highly encouraged. Materials:

330-404 total yards of Aran or Heavy Worsted Weight yarn (see recommendations below)

16” or 24” circular needles in sizes US 6 and US 7, or size needed to attain gauge

Optional: double pointed needles in US 7 or size needed to attain gauge

1 button (Lindsay will provide buttons for free)
Suggested Yarn: For this project, you will need four colors - a dark blue/navy, a mustard yellow, a white, and a black in yarn (ideally) from the same brand. Recommended brands at The Knitting Tree LA are Plymouth Encore worsted, Berroco Modern Comfort, and Cascade 220 (sample photos were made with Cascade 220). Ask staff to be directed to these yarns.
