Knit a Tiny Stranded Colorwork Sweater, Then Steek it!!


Class Description:  Learn the popular fairisle colorwork technique on a tiny circular pullover sweater...then STEEK it! That means you will literally cut it and turn it into a cardigan!  Then you can translate the techniques to any size sweater!

Class Dates: 

  • Saturday, September 4th  from 10am to noon
  • Saturday, September 11th from 11am to noon 
  • Saturday, September 18th from 10am to noon

Course Fee: $60 for 6 hours of instruction.

Yarn: One skein sport, DK, or worsted weight yarn for the main color, plus smaller amounts of one or more contrasting colors in the same weight.

Needles: 16" circular needle in an appropriate size for your yarn (probably between size 5 - 7)

Techniques covered:  Knitting a top-down circular-yoke sweater.  Stranded colorwork.  Techniques for reinforcing your knitting before cutting a steek. Picking up stitches for button-bands.

Please note this workshop is for adults only (ages 13 and up).

We do require a 72-hour notice for cancellations. No refunds, partial or full, will be given for cancellations made less than 72 hours prior to the start of the event.
