Description: Entrelac is a knitting technique used to create a textured diamond pattern. The result resembles basket-woven strips of knitted fabric.

In this workshop you will create an Entrelac sample. The sample can then be used a starting point for a full sized scarf.

The sample will teach you:

  • Set up row triangles.
  • How to turn left side/triangle.
  • How to knit rectangles.
  • How to turn right side/triangle.
  • How to knit backwards/purl without turning your work.
  • Final row triangles/cast off.

Saturday, August 18th, 10:00am - 1:00pm

Course fee: $45 for three hours of instruction.

Techniques:  Entrelac, how to knit backwards, cable cast on.

Yarn: 440 yards Worsted/Aran weight striping yarn (like Noro Silk Garden).

Needles: US Size 8

Pattern:  Entrelac Scarf 

Notions: Stitch markers

Recommended for: Must know basics, how to knit and purl.
