Hand Sewing a Mask Sunday, July 26th 10-12 (In person or Zoom) with Ana Petrova


Want to make a fashionable mask, but don't have a sewing machine?  No worries!

Ana Petrova will give simple instructions to hand sew a face mask in under an hour! Newbie or experienced sewers will be able to follow along step-by-step to make a fully hand sewn mask! 

You will learn:

1. Tips to easily thread a needle and knot the thread.

2.  Make several several types of stitches and know where to use them.

3.  How to cut fabric and easily sew it.

Creating a mask is the goal, but you will learn valuable skills which can easily be applied to any hand sewing project, including in your knitted garment applications. No sewing experience needed.

Sunday, July 26th 10am-12pm

$30 for 2 hours of instruction,  $5 materials fee paid directly to instructor

Available virtually, or in person (Lots of space at the shop to social distance. Mask required while in the store.  At home, you can wear whatever you'd like!).

Please indicate if you will be joining in virtually, or in person.

Please bring:  Sewing needles you already have (there will be sewing needles available).

Scissors (sharp, that easily cut fabric)


Pen and Pencil


Optional:  your sewing kit if you have one ie. pins, needles


Techniques Covered to make 2 different styles of masks:

1. Custom fitting

2. Best material to pick

3.  Basting, back stitch and half back stitch

4.  Cutting fabric

5.  Best tools for the job

Please note this workshop is for adults only (ages 13 and up).

We do require a 72-hour advance notice for cancellations. No refunds, partial or full, will be given for cancellations made less than 72 hours prior to the start of the event.
