Description: Need a quick and fun holiday knit? This seamless beanie features a bias effect in a unisex beanie. Knit in the round, it can be masculine in a beautiful neutral, minimal in grey, or full of life in a fun variegated yarn!
- Saturday, December 14th from 10:00am - 12:00pm
Course fee: $30 for two hours of instruction.
Instructor: Andy Mordoh
Yarn: 170 yards, worsted weight
Needles: 16" circular needles in US7 or US8 and DPNs to match
Pattern: Columnar Joining (available on Ravelry, $6.00)
Pre-Work: Complete the Triangle instructions on page 3 before class. Remember not to break your yarn at the end of the triangle.
IMPORTANT: Gauge is extremely important for this pattern. Gauge is 20 sts and 24 rows over 4” of 1x1 knit-purl ribbing in worsted-weight yarn. This measurement is flat and without tension—ribbing is stretchy! If you do not made gauge, your hat will be too big or too small!
Recommended for: Intermediate - you should be comfortable with casting on, knitting in the round and basic decreases (ssk, k2tog, p2tog), slipping stitches and picking up stitches along an edge.
Please note this workshop is for adults only (ages 13 and up).
We do require a 72-hour advance notice for cancellations. No refunds, partial or full, will be given for cancellations made less than 72 hours prior to the start of the event.
